Frequently Asked Questions

How far will you travel?

Eric is based in Laurel, Maryland, and normally can travel coast-to-coast and even overseas. During this pandemic, however, all travel is fairly restricted, and so he's generally limiting in-person events to the Baltimore-Washington area. He's still available worldwide online.

How much do you charge?

Every client and event is different, and so we quote a price based on exactly what you need, so you are paying for exactly what you want. The best thing is to contact us, tell us about your event, and we can go from there.

How far in advance do I need to book?

The short answer is: the earlier the better. We recommend booking as soon as you have a date, ideally 9-12 months in advance. For the holidays, many dates are already reserved for repeat clients, so Eric's availability is limited.

At what kinds of events does Eric perform?

We can handle most types of adult corporate, social, and charity events, such as:

  • Corporate Meetings, Awards Dinners and Banquets
  • VIP and Client Appreciation events
  • Private dinner parties in homes or private restaurant dining rooms
  • Wedding rehearsal dinners and receptions
  • Charity Fund Raisers
  • Charity VIP Advance Commitment dinners
  • Media events

For what sizes of groups do you perform?

We have shows for groups from under ten people to a few hundred. Eric is always happy to work with you to select the type of show that will be the best for your venue and your guests.

Do you do shows for children?

Eric focuses primarily on events for adults. However, if a few school-aged children or teens are attending your adult event, he can adapt his show to play to all ages. If your event is primarily for children, please contact our office and we can recommend a top pro to help you.

How long is Eric's show?

It depends on the length of your event, and what else is on the agenda. For example, for an after-dinner program, we recommend a show of 30 - 60 minutes. For an awards dinner, a shorter show could be appropriate.

Eric also can act as a Magical Emcee, warming up the group with his magic, giving out the awards, and keeping the evening running smoothly and on time.

Hello! I'm Eric

It's a Pleasure to Meet You!

Eric has taken his award-winning blend of wit and wizardry around the world, from the streets of Paris to the White House, where he has performed for President Obama and the First Family. Add in three Presidential Inaugurals and five other White House appearances, and you have a truly Presidential prestidigitator!

Eric Henning is also an accomplished speaker, having reached the quarterfinals of the Toastmasters International World Championship of Public Speaking. He has even been overseas to speak on behalf of the U.S. government!

Some of the groups tapping into Eric’s eclectic and arcane knowledge include Northrop Grumman, MedStar Health, The World Bank, The Wonka Candy Company and certain defense-related agencies whose very mention could get him killed.
