Point Lookout Lighthouse
- (Scotland, MD) - Located in St. Mary's County where the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac Rivers meet. This beautiful Lighthouse was built in 1830 and had the first female Lighthouse Keeper in the country, Ann Davis, who served from 1830 through 1847. This Lighthouse has survived the Civil War and a Confederate POW camp built just a few feet away from the dwelling as well as many storms. Its most recent fight is with age and deterioration.
