• United Way of St. Mary's County, Inc. - (Lexington Park, MD) - UWSMC supports 39 local charities providing, health care, education, youth programs/mentoring, emergency and other human services throughout St. mary's County to our friends and neighbors in need. Annual Fundraising Campaign begins September 12, 2003 and the breakfast is at JT Daugherty Conference Center. Donations made through payroll deductions, credit cards, personal checks and corporate gifts are distributed to programs addressing crtical needs in our community and to donor designated charities throughout the greater DC area.

• Jewish American Society for Historic Preservation - (Rockville, MD) - JASHP is a non-profit volunteer organization. Programing is centered on recognizing sites and people of significance to the American Jewish experience.

• Maryland Works, Inc. - (Columbia, MD) - Provides advocacy and education for organizations that assist people facing barriers to employment.

• Farm Animal Reform Movement - (Bethesda, MD) - FARM conducts national grassroots education campaigns promoting humane treatment of farm animals and transition to a healthy vegetarian diet.

• National Center for Children and Families - (Bethesda, MD) - NCCF provides residential (family shelter and group home for adolescents) and community-based programs for residents in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Our services include the shelter, transitional housing which is subsidized with case management services, foster care and adopition, family perservation, after school programming, and independent living for young adult males ages 17-21, to name a few.

• World Trade Center Institute - (Baltimore, MD) - Strengthens the mid-Atlantic international community through the power of education, information and worldwide connections, specifically offering international business education seminars to small and medium sized companies.

• Historic Takoma, Inc - (Takoma Park, MD) - (HTI) is a membership-based, all-volunteer, non-profit dedicated to helping preserve the heritage of Takoma Park, MD and Takoma, DC through educational activities and preservation of historical landmarks and archives.

• Laurel District, (SGI-USA) Nichiren Buddhists - (Laurel, MD) - We are the Laurel District members of the Soka Gakkai International- USA organization of Nichiren Buddhists. The SGI believes that the development of peace, culture and education are essential to building a better world. At the heart of this global movement are District-level activities and discussion meetings. These neighborhood gatherings are where people share experiences, encourage one another and study Buddhism together. Meetings are totally open to all people of peace. The activities are free and anyone is welcomed to attend and participate.

• Mid-Atlantic German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue - (Sykesville, MD) - We are a dog rescue for German Shorthaired Pointers. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome these needy dogs in the VA/MD/DE and WV area.

• Minaret of Freedom Institute - (Bethesda, MD) - Islamic free market and libertarian think tank. We counter common distortions aboutIslam, reasearch and educate on the origins of certain modern values from Islamic origins, promote liberty and free markets, and seek to advance the status of Muslims whether in the opprerssive East or the hostile West.
